Ozzy Osbourne filmed a video for his new single, "Life Won't Wait", earlier this month at various locations in Los Angeles with Osbourne's son Jack in the director's chair.
A one-minute trailer for the clip is available above.
"Life Won't Wait" is the second single from Ozzy's latest album "Scream", which entered the charts in June in the Top Ten in more than 10 countries.
As previously reported, Ozzy's first-ever official free iTunes app — simply called Ozzy — is available now and allows fans to enter the world of The Prince of Darkness. Users can experience music from Ozzy's 30-year solo career with access to a full discography featuring direct links to his iTunes page for a one-stop link to purchase of any song or album from his catalog. In addition, once downloaded, users can view music videos and photo galleries, access Ozzy's current concert dates and buy tickets for upcoming shows, or can instantly post comments and photos from shows they've just attended. A built-in fan wall also allows users to communicate with each other and search (by location) to find fellow Ozzy fans in their town. The Ozzy app is fully integrated with his official Twitter feed and has direct links to all of his other social networking sites as well as Ozzy's official online store.
Ozzy recorded most of "Scream" at his Los Angeles home studio, The Bunker, and co-wrote all the songs, primarily with producer Kevin Churko. Notably, the album marks the first appearance of Ozzy's new guitar player, Gus G. (FIREWIND, ex-DREAM EVIL, ARCH ENEMY). Ozzy's band also features bassist Rob "Blasko" Nicholson, drummer Tommy Clufetos (ex-ROB ZOMBIE, ALICE COOPER) and keyboardist Adam Wakeman.
Video footage of legendary guitarists Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES), Uli Jon Roth (ex-SCORPIONS), bassist Tony Franklin (ex-THE FIRM, BLUE MURDER, WHITESNAKE) and drummer Brent Fitz (ex-ALICE COOPER, VINCE NEIL) performing the JIMI HENDRIX classic "Little Wing" at this year's G-TARanaki International Music Week 2010, which took place August 11-15, 2010 in New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand, can be viewed above.
Slash performed in concert on Saturday night at TSB Stadium and also in the Saturday night Midnight Session at Puke Ariki, New Plymouth. G-TARanaki was the only opportunity for fans to see Slash, performing exclusively for the first time in New Zealand since playing to 52,000 people at Auckland's Mount Smart Stadium with GUNS N' ROSES in 1993.
G-TARanaki is New Zealand's only international guitar festival which brings some of the world’s best guitarists to Taranaki to educate, entertain and inspire music lovers. It provides the opportunity to learn from legends who really know their stuff. It's about making A-list artists accessible to New Zealanders through concerts and intimate Midnight Sessions; creating awareness of the opportunities within the music industry through panel discussion forums and developing the artistic talents of young aspiring artists through the Sky Academy workshops and master classes.
Professionally filmed video footage of DISTURBED's stage show as part of the recently launched Uproar festival tour can be viewed above.
DISTURBED kicked off its headlining stint on the very first Uproar tour on Tuesday (August 17) by unveiling its massive new stage show, which HardDrive Radio called "a total assault of the senses." The production features a tremendous amount of visuals on huge LED screens, state-of-the-art pyrotechnics and an opening film in which singer David Draiman is seen in an asylum before seeming to burst out of the screen and onto the stage.
Guitarist Dan Donegen told The Pulse of Radio that he wouldn't be surprised if the band itself watched its own show during the first few gigs on the tour. "You might catch us a few times kind of turning our back to the crowd, with all due respect to them," he said. "We're still in awe of some of the production so we're gonna be turning around to kind of check out the set and certain key points as well, 'cause it's just — it's exciting. I mean, we feel like, you know, just little kids on Christmas morning, just the excitement of stepping it up to a whole new level."
The Uproar Festival tour, which also stars AVENGED SEVENFOLD, STONE SOUR, HELLYEAH and HALESTORM, pulls into Buffalo, New York on Sunday (August 22).
DISTURBED has just released a video for the title track from its new album, "Asylum", which arrives on August 31.
The group will screen its new documentary, "Decade Of Disturbed", in selected theatres beginning on August 26.
Due to a "scheduling conflict," the previously announced free BLACK LABEL SOCIETY show that was supposed to take place today (Monday, August 23) at Orange County Choppers' retail store and showroom (14 Crossroads Court) in Newburgh, New York has been canceled. The band states, "We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's new album, "Order Of The Black", sold around 33,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to enter The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 4.
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's previous album, "Shot to Hell", opened with 32,000 units to land at No. 21. This was less than the 45,000 copies shifted by BLS's "Mafia" (Artemis) back in March 2005 to debut at No. 15.
"Order Of The Black" was released in North America via E1 Music. The CD features four unique covers designed by Zakk Wylde himself — one for each territory: North America, Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
An e-card for "Order Of The Black" is available at this location.
As previously reported, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY will headline the "Black Label Berzerkus" tour this fall. The two-month North American trek will feature CLUTCH, CHILDREN OF BODOM and 2CENTS, with the first two bands sharing the main support slot.

California rockers Y&T have set up a fund to help offset the substantial medical expenses incurred by the band's original bassist, Phil Kennemore, is his fight with metastatic cancer.
Commented the group: "Any amount you wish to give, no matter how small or large, will be very greatly appreciated to help Phil and his family with his extensive medical expenses. 100 percent of all donations will be distributed directly to Phil."
Kennemore recently said about his cancer diagnosis, "With the bad news I also got the good news that along with surgery and treatments, I will be back rockin' and rollin'. I'll be getting a hip replacement as well as back surgery, which means I'll also be more agile. The doctor said that this is treatable and I'll be walking out of this place and I'll be able to go on the road and do everything I need to do to continue my rock 'n' roll life, in due time."
Y&T's current lineup is rounded out by original guitarist/vocalist Dave Meniketti, along with longtime members John Nymann (guitar) and Mike Vanderhule (drums).
Y&T's first studio album in 13 years, "Facemelter", was released in Europe on May 21 via Frontiers Records.
As the title indicates, "Facemelter" is a hard-rockin', song-oriented album that lives up to its name: it captures the band's raw energy and tightness that they've become known for. Featuring heavy grooves, powerful guitars, and strong melodies, the band shows their versatility, delivering a range of high-energy rockers, mid-tempo head-bangers, modern rock grooves, majestic ballads, and signature Y&T rock anthems. To mark the return, the band engaged John Taylor Dismukes — the same artist who designed covers for Y&T's classic albums "Mean Streak", "Black Tiger" and "In Rock We Trust" — to create the amazing art of the new "Facemelter".
